The Philodendron Nangaritense, better known as the Fuzzy Petiole, is a rare plant species that is native to the rainforests of Ecuador and Colombia. This plant is characterized by its deeply lobed and ridged leaves and its fuzzy petioles. This plant like many plants, loves to climb trees or other structures with aerial roots.

To care for Philodendron nangaritense, place it in bright, indirect light, but avoid exposing it to direct sunlight. This plant likes to be kept consistently moist but not waterlogged, so water it when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. It prefers warm temperatures between 65-80°F and high humidity levels of 60-70%.

Philodendron Fuzzy Petiole grows best in a well-draining soil mix (like our hand mixed Aroid Mix) and benefits from occasional fertilization during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer. It is a slow grower and can be propagated through stem cuttings. Because of its climbing nature, it can be trained to grow up a support or left to trail down from a hanging basket.

Shipping Information

We pack and ship orders every Monday and Tuesday, ensuring your plants arrive fresh and healthy. However, we may hold shipments due to inclement weather to protect your plants from extreme temperatures.

🚚 Shipping times vary based on your location and selected shipping method, but most orders arrive within 1-3 business days after they leave our facility.

📦 Mugs, totes, tees, and other merch ship separately from plant orders, as these items are custom printed after your order is placed. This means they may have a slightly different delivery timeline than your plants.

We appreciate your patience and care in selecting the best shipping options for your plant babies! 🌿💚

Care Instructions

Shipping can be stressful for plants, and it’s normal for your new plant to show some signs of stress after its journey. You may notice yellowing leaves or minor leaf loss, but don’t worry—this is completely normal!

With a little aftercare and patience, your plant will bounce back in no time.

✨ Pro tip: Give your plant time to adjust by keeping it in a stable environment with proper light, humidity, and watering.
